Had a bit of fun recently when an English crime fiction author friend of mine wanted a Stones’ riff for the soundtrack of a short 30-second to promote his interrupted Manchester love story, All Down The Line!
Fans of the Rolling Stones will recognise the song as one of the many highlights of Exile On Main Street, probably mu favourite record of theirs, especially as it was recorded in France in pretty chilled circumstances.
Like me, Andrew Field is a big Mott/Stones fan, so when he asked if I could come up with an All Down The Line vibe, I was more than happy to accept the riff challenge.
